However, in the routine practice of microbiological laboratories, anaerobes are usually not cultured or identified, and the susceptibility of obligate anaerobes to antibiotics is rarely determined. However, antibiotic resistance has increased worldwide, including among anaerobic bacteria.</p> <p><bold>AIM:</bold><italic> </italic>The aim of the study was to evaluate the susceptibility of etiologically significant species of obligate anaerobic bacteria isolated from patients with coloproctological diseases from different regions of the Russian Federation.</p> <p><bold>MATERIALS AND METHODS:</bold><italic> </italic>The multicenter, prospective, uncontrolled study included etiologically significant obligate anaerobes isolated from patients with coloproctological diseases in 65 regions of the Russian Federation. Subsequent evaluation of antibiotic susceptibility was performed in accordance with the regulatory documents used in the Russian Federation.</p> <p><bold>RESULTS:</bold><italic> </italic>As a result of the study, 1,200 strains of obligate anaerobes of 123 species were collected. The analysis included the results of susceptibility testing of 430 anaerobic strains causing proctological infections, including <italic>Bacteroides</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=202), <italic>Parabacteroides</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=22), <italic>Phocaeicola vulgatus</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=104), <italic>Prevotella</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=11), <italic>Clostridium perfringens</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=91). Resistance to metronidazole, clindamycin, meropenem and vancomycin was detected in 77.3%, 72.7%, 62.5% and 8.79% of the strains, respectively.</p> <p><bold>CONCLUSION:</bold><italic> </italic>Monitoring for antibiotic resistance in obligate anaerobes that pose a threat of spreading antibiotic-resistant strains helps reduce the spread of resistance and personalizes antimicrobial therapy and prevention protocols for patients, reducing treatment costs and hospital stay time by quickly switching from empiric to etiotropic therapy.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold>Обоснование.</bold> Инфекции, вызванные анаэробными бактериями, несут высокий риск для жизни, часто протекают в тяжёлой форме и опасны для пациентов с сопутствующими заболеваниями. Несмотря на это, в рутинной практике микробиологических лабораторий обычно анаэробов не культивируют и не идентифицируют, редко проводят определение чувствительности облигатно-анаэробных бактерий к антибиотикам. В то же время в мировой практике отмечается рост антибиотикорезистентности, в том числе и среди анаэробных бактерий.</p> <p><bold>Цель — </bold>изучение чувствительности этиологически значимых видов облигатно-анаэробных бактерий, выделенных от пациентов колопроктологического профиля из различных регионов Российской Федерации.</p> <p>Материалы и методы. В многоцентровое проспективное неконтролируемое исследование включены этиологически значимые облигатно-анаэробные бактерии, выделенные от пациентов колопроктологического профиля из 65 регионов Российской Федерации, с последующей оценкой чувствительности к антибиотикам в соответствии с нормативными документами, применяемыми в Российской Федерации.</p> <p><bold>Результаты</bold>. В результате проведённого исследования собрана коллекция из 1200 штаммов облигатно-анаэробных бактерий, относящихся к 123 видам. В анализ включены результаты тестирования чувствительности 430 штаммов бактерий, возбудителей анаэробных инфекций в колопроктологии, из них бактерии рода <italic>Bacteroides</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=202), рода <italic>Parabacteroides</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=22), <italic>Phocaeicola vulgatus</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=104), рода <italic>Prevotella</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=11), <italic>Clostridium perfringens</italic><italic> </italic>(<italic>n</italic><italic> </italic>=91).
